DYSPORT®
Dysport® is an FDA-approved injectable treatment, similar to Botox® and Xeomin®, used to temporarily reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. It works by relaxing the facial muscles that cause wrinkles. Dysport® tends to spread a bit more from the injection site, which can be beneficial for treating larger areas. It also may have a slightly quicker onset, results typically last around 3–4 months.
When Will I See Results?
You should notice results within a few days, with full effects appearing around two weeks after the treatment.
How Long Do Results Last?
Dysport® typically provides results that last about three months.
How Do I Prepare for My Dysport® Appointment?
There’s minimal preparation needed for Dysport®. However, it’s advisable to avoid blood-thinning medications or supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil a few days before your appointment to minimize the risk of bruising.
What Should I Expect Post-Treatment?
- Stay Upright
Avoid lying down for at least four hours after your treatment to prevent the Dysport® from migrating to unintended areas.
- Avoid Heat
Stay away from saunas, hot tubs, tanning beds, and hot showers or baths for at least four hours after treatment.
- Don’t Touch or Rub the Treated Area
Keep your hands off the treated areas for at least 24 hours to ensure the Dysport® remains in place.
- Refrain from Strenuous Activities
Skip any vigorous exercise or strenuous activities on the day of your session to minimize bruising and help the Dysport® settle properly.
